Neben YouTube gibt es die beliebte Videoplattform Vimeo, welche früh mit qualitativ hochwertigen Videos aufgefallen ist. Nun gibt es Vimeo offiziell auch für Windows Phone als App. Mit der App können Videos hochgeladen, verwaltet und angesehen werden. Die App ist kostenlos im Windows Phone Marketplace erhältlich.

Die Windows Phone App Portals 2D ist – bis zum 07.02. – kostenlos im Windows Phone Marketplace erhältlich. Die Grafik ist zwar nicht überragend, das Spielkonzept erinnert aber an den Klassiker Portal für Konsole und PC.

Das Spiel NFS: Hot Pursuit ist als Xbox Live Titel im Windows Phone Marketplace erschienen. Das Spiel kostet 4,99 Euro im Windows Phone Marketplace, kann allerdings auch kostenlos vorab getestet werden.

Die App Ask Ziggy versucht Appel’s Siri auf das Windows Phone Smartphone zu übertragen (siehe Artikel: Ask Ziggy eine „Siri App“ für Windows Phone). Anhang Schlüsselbegriffe ist es der App möglich auf eine (englische) Spracheingabe zu reagieren und dem Benutzer eine Antwort zu liefern. Die App wurde nun überarbeitet und kann nun auch Auskünfte zu Wetter, Uhrzeit, Erinnerungen und Ortschaften sowie Karten geben. Die App bleibt weiterhin kostenlos im Windows Phone Marketplace.

Das Video zeigt das Spiel Zombies Night Out, ein klassischer 3D “First Person” Ego Shooter. Allerdings eben für das Windows Phone 7 Smartphone. Laut den Entwicklern werden Lichteffekte und Schatten in Echtzeit berechnet. Das Spiel soll schon nächste Woche verfügbar sein.

Das Spiel ist sehr liebevoll umgesetzt und zeigt mal wieder, dass Microsoft es ernst meint mit Windows Phone 7 auch als mobile Spielekonsole. Zombies!!! entstammt einem Brettspiel und Aufgabe des Spielers ist es möglichst schnell den Hubschrauberlandeplatz zu erreichen, hierbei tauchen natürlich einige Zombies auf die den Spieler daran hindern möchten…

Das Spiel kostet 4,99 Euro im Marketplace und kann auf appsfuze bezogen werden.

Zumindest Microsoft wird wohl schon zu Beginn einen echten Spieleblockbuster liefern, samt XBox-Live Integration. Das Hack&Slay Spiel The Harvest ist seit der MIX10 bekannt und wurde damals zeitgleich mit Windows Phone 7 vorgestellt. Das Spiel zeigt eindrucksvoll zu welchen 3D Leistungen die Windows Phone 7 Hardware fähig ist und wie flüssig das ganze läuft.

Eine witzige Idee, 30 Minuten Zeit und 2 Tassen Kaffee um eine Windows Phone 7 App von der Idee aus komplett zu entwickeln. Der Entwickler gibt zwar zu, dass er einige Minuten länger gebraucht hat und der Kaffee auch kalt geworden ist, aber er hat es geschafft.
